WOOD JOB! (2014) is a funny, beautiful Japanese film about a clueless city boy who slowly falls in love with life in the mountains. I went in blind and came out loving its weird villagers, breathtaking forest, master-disciple bond, and message about slow living. My honest rating: 8.5/10. A real gem!

I expected Grand Blue to be a peaceful college diving anime. Instead, I got naked idiots, ridiculous drinking games, and nonstop chaos. But behind all the madness is a surprisingly wholesome story about friendship. My rating: 9/10!
I started As a Reincarnated Aristocrat expecting another average isekai, but 24 episodes later I was fully invested. Ars barely fights himself, yet somehow builds an absurd team, survives war, loses his father, gets married, and keeps rising.
I started Noble Reincarnation expecting another mid OP fantasy, but somehow I binged all 12 episodes. The animation is only okay, the story is not that deep, yet Noah’s rise, politics, and ridiculous power kept me hooked until the end. A fun surprise Rating: 7/10
Saving My Sweetheart begins with abuse, curses and a doomed marriage, but becomes a beautiful story about Leticia and Ditrian building the life they lost once before. Dark, emotional, sometimes slow, but ultimately healing. An 8/10 for me.
A Villainess for the Tyrant may be mid, rushed, and ridiculously cringe, but I never got bored once. Cecile and Estian's chaotic romance, lovable side cast, wild apocalypse plot, and shameless side stories made all 104 chapters genuinely fun.
The Crimson Lady (Resetting Lady) terrified me, broke my heart, and left me hollow. From Karen's 117th life to Rebecca's birthday, this dark, twisted manhwa gave me the most unforgettable ending of my 2026 reading journey. An emotional 11/10.
There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party is shallow, cringe and completely ridiculous, yet somehow impossible to stop watching. Youki, Cecilia and a lovable cast turn a very mid fantasy romance into a stupidly fun ride.
A good but sometimes slow redemption fantasy where Dorothy learns to live, love and rule differently. I hated Ethan at first, then his truth changed everything. A satisfying 7/10 journey with romance, family healing and one poor punching-bag villain.
Maybe Meant to Be starts with an impulsive marriage and becomes a warm story about healing, first love and choosing happiness. Jia slowly finds herself again, while Mincheol finally gets the childhood love he never stopped carrying.
The World’s Finest Assassin has a great concept, a surprisingly wholesome family, fun characters, and some ridiculously cool assassination ideas. I enjoyed watching it, but the simple story, heavy fanservice, and setup-heavy ending kept it firmly in “mid but enjoyable” territory for me.
They threw Light into the Abyss expecting him to die. Instead, he came back at Lv.9999 with an army, a kingdom, and enough petty revenge to make every arrogant villain beg. Exactly my kind of chaos.
